Unique Christmas gifts: a real iceberg under the tree
This Christmas, give a gift nobody has ever received: the adoption of a real iceberg tracked by satellite, with a certificate in their name, emailed on Christmas morning or printed to put under the tree.
Looking for unique Christmas gifts or fresh Christmas gift ideas? Give an iceberg. With Mon Iceberg, you give the symbolic adoption of a real iceberg, in Antarctica or off Newfoundland, tracked by satellite. The certificate in their name can be printed and slipped under the tree, or emailed on Christmas morning. It is a unique gift that gets people talking at the table, raises awareness of climate change, and can be given right up to the last minute, with no delivery time.
Why an iceberg for Christmas?
A gift in the spirit of the season
Christmas brings to mind snow, ice and the Far North. A real iceberg extends that imagery, with a true story: its name, its position, its size, its journey across the ocean.
A gift nobody has ever received
Christmas presents often look alike from one year to the next. An iceberg creates surprise, and is remembered for a long time.
A gift with meaning
Melting ice is one of the most visible signs of climate change. Giving an iceberg means giving a concrete link with that reality, without preaching.
A stress-free gift
No sold-out stock, no lost parcels, no queues: the certificate is digital. It is even the ideal last-minute gift.
How to give it at Christmas: three ways
1. Printed, under the tree
As soon as you pay, you receive the certificate as a PDF. Print it on nice paper, roll it up with a ribbon or slip it into an envelope: it will find its place under the tree like any other present.
2. By email, on Christmas morning
When you buy, choose the gift option, enter the person's email address and the date of 25 December. The certificate will be sent to them that day, at around 8 a.m. Paris time, with your message. Ideal for loved ones who are celebrating Christmas far away from you.
3. Alongside another gift
A book about the poles, a warm jumper, a trip to the planetarium or the aquarium: an iceberg nicely complements a gift on the theme of cold, the sea or exploration.
The Christmas calendar
- Until the evening of 24 December: you can order and immediately receive the certificate to print.
- For delivery on the morning of the 25th: order by 24 December at the latest, scheduling the date of the 25th.
- For New Year or Epiphany: simply schedule the date of your choice.
Christmas gift ideas: which iceberg for whom?
For children
Choose an iceberg with a satellite image: they will be able to see it "for real" and locate it on a map. It is a wonderful gateway to geography and science. Iceberg Alley icebergs have a complete story, from their birth in Greenland to their melting, that is easy to tell.
For parents and grandparents
A gift that doesn't add to the things in the house, and that starts a conversation. Add a personal message: it appears on the certificate.
For a partner
An iceberg in the person's name, or in both your names, with a message that is truly yours. Romantic, and genuinely unique.
For a colleague or a Secret Santa
Iceberg Alley icebergs, from €19.99, fit within most budgets set for gift exchanges.

Fun facts to share at Christmas dinner
The certificate is a chance to share a few surprising facts with the whole family:
- About 90% of an iceberg is underwater. Ice is slightly less dense than seawater, so you only see about a tenth of its volume.
- An iceberg is made of fresh water. It is born from a glacier, formed by snow accumulated over centuries, not from frozen seawater.
- Antarctic icebergs have code names. The letter shows the sector of Antarctica where the iceberg was first sighted: A, B, C or D.
- The most famous of them, A23a, stayed more than thirty years resting on the floor of the Weddell Sea before drifting again, then breaking up in 2025–2026. Read its story: Iceberg A23a, the life and end of the world's largest iceberg.
- Iceberg Alley has been watched since the Titanic. The International Ice Patrol was created in 1914, two years after the sinking, to track icebergs in the North Atlantic.
